Some foamed toon monkey toes. Gonna finish them soon, perhaps tomorrow. #fursuit
Hi there! It’s a certain space-faring raccoon. ^_^ This project has been an interesting jump outside my regular repetoir, hopefully it’ll turn out really cool when it’s finished.
Finished golden lion tamarin head- part of a partial suit commission that will soon be completed. :)
The customer asked for a monkey, and left all the details up to me. I love projects like this! I chose a golden lion tamarin because I remembered seeing them at the zoo when I was a kid and I thought they were so cute.

The main thing to remember I guess is that fleece is a lot stretchier compared to fur, so you can get away with less darts. And you should be very strategic about the few darts you use so they’re less visible, since of course fleece shows everything. Your foamwork should also be pretty smooth for the same reason, any sudden dips or bumps may be noticeable.
You can sort of fuzz the fleece up over the seam by rubbing seams with a pin.
I like to use this fleece: http://www.millyardage.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=7614 It’s higher quality than craft store fleece and thicker too. Doesn’t look grungy as quickly as cheaper fleece.
Good luck with your project, hope it goes well!

A super cute and colorful fox set for a customer :) These beautiful fluffy ears are soft, and everything is sewn. This allows them to be durable, washable, and comfortable. This set reminds us of birthday cake ice cream, yum!
